Sastha Poojai

After few years we could have Sastha Poojai today. We were all getting ready for the past one week for this day. Appa, Amma and Pavithra were cleaning all the Vilakku and poojai utensils. I could visit the new market near Maattuthaavani and meet Karnan there. Could get lots of flowers. We have been getting flowers from Karnan for the past 30 years. Raja gave us the flower garlands and other flowers. Viji and family reached Madurai yesterday and they came home. Children - Varshini, Vishaal and Roshini helped in asorting the flowers. Viji and Pavithra helped Amma in preparing the prasadams. Ramesh got lot of fruits and flowers and helped in all the activities. With all the hands helping we could start the poojai as per schedule. We had Vishnu Sahasranamam Chanting and got into poojai. Ganapathi Ashtotharam, Lalitha Ashtotharam, Lalitha Trisathi, Dharma Sastha Ashtotharam, Dharma Sastha Sahasranamam were conducted and concluded the poojai with Padipaattu and Deepaaraathanai. Ramesh's parents and Raji were also there. This day was a very happiest day in 2009 for me. I could transcend into another world during poojai.
